Muhammad Ali, 10.30pm, TG4
This is pretty unmissable, as legendary documentary-maker Ken Burns turns his lens on Muhammad Ali, the sporting icon and activist, born Cassius Clay in Louisville, Kentucky, in 1942.
The first instalment looks at his rise in the world of amateur boxing to win gold at the 1960 Olympic Games, held in Rome.
After that he turned professional and moved to Miami to train with Angelo Dundee, sharpening his boxing skills and honing his genius for self-promotion.
Then in 1964 he becomes a global sports figure when he upsets Sonny Liston to become heavyweight champion.

Another chance to see this excellent documentary about the indomitable Peter O’Toole.
It’s the story of the acclaimed Irish actor, told by those who knew him best - his friends, family and fans.
Peter O’Toole was nominated for an Oscar eight times and yet never won, finally receiving an honorary Oscar in 2003.
He was hailed as one of the greatest Shakespearian actors of his time and off-stage was renowned for his drinking and hell-raising escapades.

Drama, starring Daniel Day-Lewis (below), Emily Watson, Brian Cox, Ken Stott and Ciaran Fitzgerald.
A former IRA member angers the organisation's hierarchy by resuming his old life as a boxer, opening a gym for both sides of the religious divide.
Things are complicated further by the reappearance of his first love - now married to his best friend, but still harbouring strong feelings for him.

DIY SOS Strictly Special, 9.00pm, BBC One
Strictly Come Dancing stars Anton Du Beke (below), Katya Jones and Graziano Di Prima join Nick Knowles and the team in Wallsend, Newcastle.
Together, they set to work transforming the True Colours performing arts school, an inclusive dance school that teaches dance and theatre skills to 500 children and young adults, many of whom have disabilities and learning needs.
The school has grown substantially over the years and at this stage it has completely outgrown their existing space.
As a result, the team get to work renovating a run-down old boys club that would give the dance school the extra space it so desperately needs to continue to transform more young lives.
