Hozier's latest album, Unreal Unearth, has topped both the Irish and UK album charts.
This is his third number one album in Ireland, and his first in the UK.
The Wicklow singer-songwriter acknowledged reaching number one in Ireland in a video on his social media accounts on Friday afternoon.
In the short video, he thanks fans for their support, alongside the caption: "It's a special feeling to receive this kind of support in your home country.
"A massive thank you to everyone in Ireland for all the love and support shown to #UnrealUnearth! News of this number 1 has me absolutely thrilled."

Later on Friday, he posted a separate photo, thanking UK fans for their support, as news broke that his album had reached number one there.
The record is also reportedly a serious contender for the number one spot in the US album charts this week.
His sophomore album, 2019's Wasteland, Baby!, debuted atop the Billboard 200 in the US.
Unreal Unearth is a 16-track album which includes recent singles Eat Your Young, Francesca and Unknown / Nth.
Hozier sings in the Irish language on De Selby (Part 1), while American singer-songwriter, author, and activist Brandi Carlile features on the seventh track on the album, Damage Gets Done.

The Take Me To Church singer is due to tour for the rest of the year in America, Canada and Europe, including a date at New York's Madison Square Garden on 30 September, his first time to play the famous arena.
The tour will conclude with three sold-out dates in Dublin's 3Arena in December.
