Official Secrets, 9.35pm, RTÉ One

Fact-based drama about the publication of a leaked British GCHQ memo in the run-up to the Iraq war starring Keira Knightley and Matt Smith.

The film reveals the devastating consequences for whistleblower Katharine Gun, who was put on trial for breaching the Official Secrets Act, and the journalists who were determined to unmask a conspiracy.

The Carpenters: A World of Music, 10.00pm, BBC Four

Karen and Richard Carpenter concluded their 1976 British tour with this specially recorded programme.

Songs include There's A Kind of Hush, I Need to be in Love, Close to You, Strike up the Band, Top of the World, Only Yesterday, I Won't Last a Day Without You, Hurting Each Other, Superstar, Goodbye to Love, We've Only Just Begun and Yesterday Once More.

In Concert: The Eagles, 10.50pm, BBC Four

Footage of Californian country rockers The Eagles from 1973, performing classic US hits such as Peaceful Easy Feeling, Witchy Woman and Take It Easy.

At the time, they were the epitome of the California sound, with a sweet blend of sophisticated country music that took them to the top of the charts in the US.

This is followed by concerts from Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, Average White Band and Billy Joel. Nice.

New or Returning Shows

Red Dwarf, 10.00pm, BBC Two

Here’s a re-run of the first season of the cult space comedy by Rob Grant and Doug Naylor.

The mining ship Red Dwarf is an old tramp steamer, working around the moons of Saturn. It’s five miles long and three miles wide, with a crew of 169.

Within 24 hours, 168 of them will be dead.

New to Stream

M3gan, Sky Cinema Premiere & NOW

Allison Williams, Violet McGraw and Ronny Chieng star in this sci-fi horror flick.

The titular M3gan is a marvel of artificial intelligence, a life-like doll programmed to be a child's greatest companion and a parent's greatest ally.

Designed by brilliant toy-company roboticist Gemma (Williams), M3gan can listen and watch and learn as she becomes friend and teacher, playmate and protector, for the child she is bonded to.

When Gemma suddenly becomes the caretaker of her orphaned 8-year-old niece, Cady (McGraw), Gemma's unsure and unprepared to be a parent.

Under intense pressure at work, Gemma decides to pair her prototype with Cady in an attempt to resolve both problems- - a decision that will have unimaginable consequences.

Wayne Shorter: Zero Gravity, Prime Video

This is a cinematic ode to jazz legend, Wayne Shorter, from executive producer, Brad Pitt and directed by Dorsay Alavi.

Depicted in three portals, the viewer is transported into prolific periods of Shorter's life and how through adversity, he grew to greatness, shattered the limitations of jazz, and became one of the most influential musicians and composers in American music.

Wanted: The Escape of Carlos Ghosn, Apple TV+

This four-part documentary tells the story of CEO-turned-fugitive Carlos Ghosn and his relentless climb to the top of the corporate ladder, shocking arrest and unbelievable escape.

The series features in-depth access to all the key players in the saga, including Mike Taylor, the former Green Beret who orchestrated Ghosn’s harrowing escape.

The man in the middle of it all - Carlos Ghosn - for the first time tells his side of this ongoing, global news story, from start to finish.

You Are So Not Invited to My Bat Mitzvah, Netflix

Idina Menzel, Jackie Sandler, Adam Sandler, Sadie Sandler and Sunny Sandler star in this coming-of-age comedy.

Best friends Stacy and Lydia are both planning epic bat mitzvahs. But it all unravels when a popular boy - and middle school drama - threatens to ruin everything.

After a close-call - which nearly sees Ruth ending up in a crashed car at the bottom of a fjord - Tara and the girls finally arrive at the hotel, fractured and hurt, only to discover that Tara’s mum is no longer in charge.

The truth starts to sink in for Tara and she has to face the realisation that not only is Maggie dead, but that she has constructed her own false reality about Orin’s death.
