Once upon a time, surfing was considered pretty much the preserve of Hawaiians and blonde-headed Californians. And the Silver Surfer, of course. Nowadays it's as Irish as rashers or stout.
The history of Ireland's now world-renowned surfing scene, looking at how pioneers in Dublin and Belfast transcended political hostilities and the Troubles to host the 1972 Eurosurf championship.
The film reveals how the sport gave hope to an exceptional collection of young people at a time of despair and changed their lives, and how the tight-knit, rebellious community they formed would leave a lasting impression upon Ireland.

Fair play if you stuck with this embarrassing Sex and the City sequel to the end of Season 2. I'd rather have eaten my much-loved SATC box set and gave up early on.
The story goes that Kim Cattrall’s Samantha Jones is due to make an appearance. I hope she got well paid. Poor Stanford must be turning in his grave.
With a third season confirmed, we can look forward to even more dismal episodes of a show that makes Emily in Paris look like Game of Thrones.
And of course I'm going to watch it . . .
