Ahead of the release of his third album, Unreal Unearth, tomorrow, Hozier has released the official video for new single De Selby (Part 2) and it sees Harry Potter and Star Wars star Domhnall Gleeson traversing deserted landscapes as a man who is unknowingly dead.
In the video, which was directed by Wolf James and shot around Lough Tay in the Wicklow mountains, Golden Globe nominee Gleeson plays De Selby, a character from Irish literary classic The Third Policeman by Flann O'Brien.
Speaking about the video, Bray man Hozier says: "I’m very proud to release this collaborative video for De Selby (Part 2) featuring the incredible Domhnall Gleeson and directed by the great Wolf James.
"Working together with such creative talents toward this piece was a pleasure, and I’m honoured that Domhnall Gleeson would bring his remarkable skills and this stunning performance to my work."
De Selby (Part 2) is the fourth single lifted from the 16-track Unreal Unearth, which also features an appearance from Brandi Carlile on Damage Gets Done.
Gleeson’s appearance in the new video follows cameos by Saoirse Ronan and Natalie Dormer in previous Hozier promo clips.
Hozier played Malahide Castle earlier this Summer and he also plays sold-out shows at Belfast’s SSE Arena and a three-night stand at the 3Arena in Dublin this December.
