Tom Hanks leads a cast that includes Mack Bayda, Mariana Trevino, Rachel Keller, Manuel Garcia-Rulfo and Cameron Britton.

Based on the comical and moving New York Times bestseller, it tells the story of Otto Anderson (Hanks), a grumpy widower whose only joy comes from criticizing and judging his exasperated neighbours.

When a lively young family moves in next door, he meets his match in quick-witted and very pregnant Marisol, leading to an unexpected friendship that will turn his world upside-down

Lizzo: Live in Concert, 10.30pm, BBC Four

Former employees may have made accusations about her behaviour, but there’s no denying Lizzo’s ability to put a smile on the faces of her fans.

Filmed during the Special Tour at the iconic Kia Forum in Inglewood, California, Lizzo: Live in Concert is the culmination of her documentary Love, Lizzo.

Also on tonight’s musical strand on BBC Four is Radio 2 in Concert (9.30pm), featuring highlights from Florence + the Machine's concert at the Rivoli Ballroom, presented by Jo Whiley. Then at midnight there’s Radio 1’s Live Lounge. Alicia Keys performs her single Time Machine as well as classics Try Sleeping with a Broken Heart and Fallin'.

Dublin Horse Show, 1.45pm, RTÉ2

It's that time of year again - let's hope the weather's at least a bit dry for the horsey set's annual shindig in D4.

Ruby Walsh (below) is joined by Gerry Mullins and Nicola Fitzgibbon for live coverage of the Nations' Cup from the RDS. Commentary from Pauric Lodge and Tom Freyne.

League of Ireland Live, 7.30pm, RTÉ2

Tonight’s Premier Division live game features the Dublin derby between Saint Patrick’s Athletic and Bohemians at Richmond Park.

It’s a big game with added spice as both clubs are challenging Shamrock Rovers’ dominance at the top of the table. Pat's are second, four points behind the Hoops, while Bohs are a point more behind in third.

Home advantage should benefit the Saints, especially as Bohs haven’t been great away from home this season. But Dublin derbies are notoriously tough to call.

Here’s a flashback episode that reveals what happened to Stink after the car crash.

Here’s something fans of The Last Leg (10pm, Channel 4) should enjoy.

Despite being born with only one foot, comedian and Last Leg presenter Adam Hills (above) always dreamed of emulating his rugby league heroes by playing the sport at an international level.

That ambition became reality with the staging of the first ever Physical Disability Rugby League World Cup.

But Adam faced a tournament of hard-hitting rugby mayhem, one that tested his limits further than ever before.
