Frustration flowed on social media as many Taylor Swift fans missed out on tickets for her three-night stint at the Aviva Stadium.
The golden tickets officially went on sale this (Thursday) morning for next summer's Dublin concerts – but within minutes only pricey VIP packages were left.
On top of that, fans had been queuing patiently for hours but were left unimpressed and outpriced as those packages were priced at more than €300 per ticket. The dearest was €743.62.
In the trenches trying to get Taylor Swift Dublin tickets… thought getting an access code would at least give me a chance but it appears only millionaires can go 🫠

Ticketmaster had announced prior to today's that tickets for the three nights would be sold at staggered slots throughout Thursday. But there were bound to be many disappointed fans.
According to reports, around 500,000 fans registered to take part in the sale. That means more than 300,000 of them would miss out on seeing Taylor Swift live in Ireland.
Prices for the concerts began €86 for a general admission seating ticket, while the lowest-priced standing ticket was €126.
This is just outrageous.

Why not ditch the "VIP packages" and just make them all general admission?!
My little cousin wants to go to see her favourite artist… her parents shouldn't have to hand over a mortgage payment per ticket.

Providing an update to those still trying to purchase tickets half an hour after their initial release, Ticketmaster said: "Ticket availability is now extremely limited. Best availability remains for VIP packages."
Inevitably, many tickets appeared on online resale sites within minutes of the initial release. With an even more inevitable mark-up on the original price.
One site had tickets with a starting price of €1,100 for the seated section. Floor tickets in front of the stage were going for an eye-watering €4,000.
