Paul's fears for his daughter Ruth spiral in Thursday's Fair City on RTÉ One and the RTÉ Player.
The drama centres around the hiring of schemer Ruby - a popular girl from Ruth's school - as Ruth's new minder.
Ruby has already introduced Ruth to drinking with Paul none the wiser.
On Thursday, Paul and Ruth have words about Ruby and the youngster's desire for independence.
