Quentin Tarantino has ended speculation that he is working on a third Kill Bill movie.
Rumours suggested that Ethan Hawke and the movies' original star Uma Thurman's daughter Maya Hawke would appear in the lead role, following the first two Kill Bill films in 2003 and 2004.
Speaking to Belgian newspaper DeMorgen, the director said, "I don’t see that. My last film is about a film critic, a male critic. And he plays in the 70s."
Tarantino has previously said that he has completed the script for what he claims will be his final movie, The Critic.
However, he has spoken to Thurman about another Kill Bill, which would use ideas discarded for the first two films, but she has ruled herself out.
"I can’t really tell you anything about it. I mean it has been discussed over the years," she said. "There was real thought about it happening, but very long ago. I don’t see it as immediately on the horizon."
The 60-year-old director says he will begin shooting The Critic, his tenth and final movie, this autumn, and also spoken about his plans to direct a TV series.
