Pick of the Day - The Heiress and the Heist, RTÉ One, 9.35pm

This is the first of a new three-part series about Rose Dugdale, and her journey from being an English millionaire's daughter to an avid supporter of the IRA.
The series examines the infamous Russborough House heist of 1974, where Dugdale and three armed men forced their way into the Co Wicklow Palladian mansion, stealing 19 paintings. The artwork had a value of eight million pounds at the time, which now equates to 100 million euro.
The story travels back in time to Rose's background – her privileged upbringing in an aristocratic family and her academic achievements at Oxford and abroad – to reveal how these chapters of her life led her down the path of a revolutionary, moved to action after Bloody Sunday.
The King Who Never Was, Netflix
This three-part docuseries traces the story of Vittorio Emanuele di Savoia, the last heir to the throne of Italy.
The focal point of this trio of programmes is Emanuele's trial for the murder of German teenager Dirk Hamer on a yacht off the coast of Corsica in 1978.
The story is told through the accounts of his sister and the royal family involved in the case.
The series also explores Emanuele's troubled relationship with his parents, his love story with Marina Doria, his years working in Iran, his scandals and much more.
