The official trailer for Liam Neeson's upcoming action thriller Retribution has been released.
The trailer centres on American businessman Matt Turner, played by Neeson, driving his children to school.
En route, Matt receives a phone call from a mysterious voice: there's a bomb under his seat that will detonate unless he completes a specific series of tasks, and fast.
Trapped in their car in a high-speed chase across the city, Matt must follow the stranger's increasingly dangerous instructions in a race against time to protect his family and solve the mystery that plays out over the course of one day.

Retribution is the third remake of the 2015 Spanish film El Desconocido.
The film sees Neeson once again work with the producers of two of his films to date, Non-Stop (2014) and The Commuter (2018). Both films also involved Neeson playing a man racing against time to solve a mysterious threat.
The trailer is already garnering attention online, with some commentators noting the similarities to 1994 action film Speed, starring Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock.
Also starring in Retribution are Noma Dumezweni, Lilly Aspell, Jack Champion and Matthew Modine.

This film marks a reunion for Neeson and Davidtz, who worked together previously on Schindler's List.
Retribution will hit cinemas on 25 August.
