Pick of the day
The Producers, BBC Four, 9.00pm
Let's hope our EPG isn’t playing tricks on us and this is the peerless 1967 original version of Mel Brooks’ Oscar-winning masterpiece and not the rather pointless 2002 remake. Little shown on television for some reason (insert wink emoji here), this fiendish comedy tells the story of a down on his luck theatre producer (a brilliant Zero Mostel) and a hapless accountant (an equally brilliant Gene Wilder) who scheme on making their fortunes by producing a play that is certain to be a flop. When they chance upon a bonkers script about Adolf Hitler, they turn it into a musical and the rest is hysteria. Top trivia: U2 got the title for their album Achtung Baby! from this movie.
Face The Music, RTÉ One, 10.15pm

As we meet our students and teachers halfway through the academic year, things are starting to get very real. The new building is still not open, but the show must go on. Horrible Bosses 2, RTÉ2, 9.00pm
Jason Bateman, Jason Sudeikis, Charlie Day, Jennifer Aniston, Chris Pint, Christoph Waltz, and Jamie Foxx lined up for passable 2014 sequel to the 2011 hit movie about mad as hell employees furious at their bosses (imagine!?). in this outing, the hapless trio of Nick (Bateman), Kurt (Sudeikis) and squeaky 'lil Dale (Day), decide to start their own business, but the plan is derailed when a duplicitous investor swindles them. There’s only one thing for it, they hatch a plan to get their money back by kidnapping the businessman's son. Aniston once again proves her talent as a great comedienne as très naughty dentist.
