Speaking about the new release, he says, "I am so happy to announce the release of my debut EP Bridge Burner.
"Completely crafted in my home studio with my collection of temperamental analogue synths, at their core these four songs are about introspection, about believing in yourself when no one else does, and most of all about the shedding unnecessary baggage and all the benefits that can bring your soul.
"Musically, this EP is heavily influenced by 90s' Warp Record's breakbeat legends Aphex Twin and Squarepusher, as well as modern electronica heavyweights like Bicep and Max Cooper."

Tell us three things about yourself . . .
I am an electronic musician and artist from Dublin who just released my debut EP. I am just about to graduate as a composer for video games. And finally, my main interest outside of music is military history.
How would you describe your music?
As an electronic journey supported by three pillars. The first is analogue synthesis, mainly on dusty old machines from the 70s and 80s. The second is breakbeats, drum patterns that have been processed dozens of times beyond recognition. And the third is historical samples, I take so much joy in taking aeroplane recordings from the 1920s or submarine pings from the 1950s and fitting them into a modern song.
Who are your musical inspirations?
Speaking in terms of my genre, there are two other Irish acts that sit right atop the pyramid of modern electronica. They are Bicep and Max Cooper, and both are absolutely huge influences on me.
What was the first gig you ever went to?
Radiohead in Marlay Park in 2006, I've yet to see a better one to be honest!
What was the first record you ever bought?
OK Computer by Radiohead, still an all time classic!
Favourite lyric of all time?
"The child is grown; the dream is gone" from Pink Floyd's Comfortably Numb. That never fails to touch the soul even after thousands of listens.
If you could only listen to one song for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Echoes by Pink Floyd, at least I'd be getting my money's worth with it being 24 minutes long.
Where can people find your music/more information?
My website that has just gone live. I am also very active on Instagram @aransheehymusic, and you can listen to all my songs on Spotify by searching for 'Aran Sheehy'
