US actress and comedian Amy Schumer has hit out at celebrities who hide the fact they use diabetes drug Ozempic as a means to lose weight.
The I Feel Pretty and Trainwreck star was speaking on Andy Cohen's late night talk show, Watch What Happens Live! With Andy Cohen on Thursday. She claimed that some celebrities are lying about using the drug and telling the public that their weight loss is due to eating "smaller portions."
Schumer, 42, directed her comments at these people, saying, "Shut the f**k up! You're on Ozempic or one of those things, or you got work done. Just stop!"
"Be real with the people."
She referred to her own liposuction procedure in 2022, "When I got lipo, I said I got lipo."

Schumer said that she herself had tried the drug last year for weight loss but that its negative side-effects made her stop taking it.
"I was one of those people that felt so sick and couldn't play with my son. I was so skinny, and he’s throwing a ball at me, and [I couldn’t]. I was like, this isn't livable for me."
Ozempic is a injectable medicine for adults with type 2 diabetes that, along with diet and exercise, may improve blood sugar. One of its potential side-effects is weight loss.
It has garnered controversy in recent times due to people who do not have diabetes using the drug in order to lose weight, leading to a shortage in supply of the medicine for diabetes patients, including those in Ireland.
Schumer's new stand-up comedy special, Emergency Contact, hits Netflix on 13 June, with the comedian set to talk about a range of topics in the set, including "postpartum sex, her baby-naming disaster and chewable Viagra."
