Actress Jennifer Aniston has said that she frequently injured herself in the past by doing cardiovascular exercise too vigorously and for too long.
In an interview with InStyle, the Friends and Murder Mystery star said that, "When you're in a mindset of, 'I need to do 45 minutes of cardio or I won't get a good workout,' it's daunting. I believed it for so long.
"I just burnt out and broke my body."

Aniston, who has 42 million followers on Instagram, has previously spoken about her formerly intensive workout regime, detailing how she worked out six times a week, doing at least 45 minutes of "aggressive" cardio exercise on the likes of treadmills and elliptical machines.
A back injury caused by an particularly gruelling workout in 2021 led her to rethink her exercise regime.
The 54-year old told InStyle that another major turning point came when her physical therapist "gave me a Barbie doll that's covered in Kinesio [physiotherapy] tape", with the purpose of the tape placement being "to show every injury I've had in the last 15 years."
Aniston can currently be seen in Murder Mystery 2, available on Netflix.
Comedy-drama series The Morning Show, in which Aniston stars alongside Reese Witherspoon, is set to return for a third season this autumn.
