Co Meath's teenage magician Cillian O'Connor has told the Ray D'Arcy Show on RTÉ Radio 1 that he has his sights set on Las Vegas and the Late Late Show after finishing in third place on the ITV talent competition on Sunday night.
The 14-year-old, who wowed the judges and audience alike with his routines, told guest host Kathryn Thomas on RTÉ Radio 1 that he is not resting on his laurels.
"I'd like to go all over the world with my magic," he said.
"Las Vegas would be a good place and also getting on to the Late Late Show or the Late Late Toy Show. That would be a great thing for me."
As he waited for his flight home, Cillian said that his Britain's Got Talent adventure was more than just about him.
"I feel that I've been a big inspiration to other kids with autism," he explained.
"I've shown them that don't give up on their dreams, they can create their own story - only they can create their own story. They should go the distance."
He also expressed his gratitude to his family and to people all over Ireland for the "huge amount of support" that he has received.
"The excitement is still here, as much as ever," he said of his feelings as he prepared to come home.
Cillian's mother Elaine added: "We are still in shock. We never, ever, ever imagined he would make it into the final. It was just unbelievable. It was unreal."
When the camera cut to the audience, it was Elaine's twin sister in the crowd - Cillian's mother was backstage readying his props.
"I was off-camera, thank God, because I was a blubbering mess!" Elaine recounted.
Saluting her son, she concluded: "He's grown so much and we're just extremely proud. None of us imagined what would happen.
"He had a dream to go and do his audition. We brought him to the audition. And then anything that happened after that is just mind-blowing.
"But wow, everybody's been so supportive and we're so grateful and so thankful for everything. It's just been amazing.
"Nothing's sunk in. We're still in shock."
