Westlife's Mark Feehily has announced that he will not be taking part in the band’s Wild Dreams tour this summer, due to medical reasons.
The band are due to play five gigs between May and July - in Denmark, Sweden, Mexico, and two UK dates – one in Cardiff and one in Henley.
Posting the news on social media on Monday, he wrote: "Hey Lovely People, it’s Mark here. This summer, our Wild Dreams tour continues and we are so blessed for the huge love and support we receive from our fans worldwide.

"We have five shows taking place this summer from May-July and it is with deep regret that I will not be able to join Shane, Kian and Nicky on stage for those shows."
He continued, "This week I have to undergo a little bit of surgery. There is nothing to worry about I promise, but under doctor’s orders this surgery needs to happen sooner rather than later and will also require some recovery time throughout the summer."
He told fans that, "I was very excited to see you all and perform but this is something that can’t be avoided and I know that you will still have the time of your lives at what will be some amazing shows!"
He concluded by saying he’d "be there with you all in spirit" and is "very much look forward to getting back on stage with the lads very soon!"
Westlife’s Wild Dreams tour was initially scheduled to take place in 2020, but had to be postponed due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
The band performed a number of Irish gigs last year, including the New Year's Festival in Dublin in December.
Feehily was forced to pull out of a number of shows on the tour late last year, as he had pneumonia.
