Ireland's Eurovision hopefuls Wild Youth performed at the iconic Liverpool venue The Cavern Club on Friday evening as they count down to taking to the stage in Tuesday's first semi-final.

The quartet performed the Irish entry We Are One at the Matthew Street venue where The Beatles kickstarted their career.
"Playing The Cavern Club was a dream come true for us - and such an amazing way to start off Eurovision week here in Liverpool," beamed Wild Youth singer Conor O'Donohoe.
"To play a venue like that, with all the history there, was just surreal. It was such an honour to play there."

Wild Youth will walk the Eurovision Turquoise Carpet on Sunday afternoon, marking the official opening ceremony of the competition, which the BBC is hosting on behalf of last year's winners, Ukraine.
Family and friends of the group will be arriving in Liverpool for the event at the city's M&S Band Arena, with Eurovision stalwart commentator Marty Whelan also arriving on Merseyside on Saturday.

"We are feeling excited, and a little nervous, but good nerves, I think," added O'Donohoe.
"We can't wait to get on the stage, and we just want to do everyone in Ireland proud."
The first Eurovision Song Contest semi-final is on RTÉ One, RTÉ Radio 1 and the RTÉ Player on Tuesday 9 May from 8:00pm.
The second semi-final is on Thursday, and the grand final is next Saturday.
