This is an excellent drama, starring Martin Freeman as a police response officer struggling to keep a grip on his mental health and marriage.
If you didn't catch it when it was on the BBC, I'd highly recommend it. Written by a former police officer, it's a grim and gritty tale but absolutely riveting.
Freeman's in top form as Scouser Chris Carson, a police officer who comes to the aid of a young heroin addict whom his friend intends to harm, unaware that his colleagues are watching him, convinced he is corrupt.
While intervening in a domestic dispute between his neighbours, the pressure he is under proves too much, causing him to lash out.
