Irish, NYC-based singer-songwriter Rosie Timmon has released her new single, Found. We asked her the BIG questions . . .
The song tells her story of moving across the Atlantic ocean and falling in love/finding that special one. "This song is me discovering a new piece of who I am and accepting myself and who I love." she says.
Tell us three things about yourself . . .
I currently live in New York City. I love hiking and being out in nature. My favourite movie is Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron, I just LOVE the film's soundtrack by Bryan Adams and Hans Zimmer!
How would you describe your music?
My music is a mix of pop and R&B with a balance between upbeat playful melodies and emotional lyricism.
Who are your musical inspirations?
I have so many, but I grew up listening and feeling so inspired by Whitney Houston, Beyoncé, and Christina Aguilera. Songwriters such as Bob Dylan, Dolly Parton, Maren Morris, Taylor Swift really inspire me too!
What was the first gig you ever went to?
My first ever gig I went to was a Destiny Child Concert at Lansdowne Road in 2005. I was 10 years old, and that concert changed my life. I've wanted to perform on stage and tour the world ever since.
What was the first record you ever bought?
Ooh I can't remember exactly but I was always at HMV buying records! I think it was Metamorphosis by Hilary Duff, I definitely had that album on CD!
What's your favourite song right now?
In the Kitchen by Renee Rapp.
Favourite lyric of all time?
"Don't worry about a thing, cause every little thing gonna be alright" - Three Little Birds by Bob Marley and The Wailers. I even have a tattoo of three little birds to represent these lyrics!
If you could only listen to one song for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Humble Quest by Maren Morris.
Where can people find your music/more information?
