U2 will play to more than 300,000 fans at their Sphere concerts in Las Vegas this autumn, with tickets now not going on general sale because of the presale demand.
Tickets went on sale earlier this week for members of the U2.com fan club, and those who had subscribed to the 'Ticketmaster Verified Fan' list. The demand was such that there were no tickets left to go on general sale this morning.
In a social media post, Ticketmaster said that due to extremely high demand from the U2.com subscriber presale and the Verified Fan Presale, there will not now be a general sale.

Although only five shows were initially announced, a total of seventeen will now be played at the brand new venue between September and November this year.
The gigs will take place without drummer Larry Mullen who is recovering from a back injury, with drummer Bram Van Den Berg taking his place for the shows.
