Dublin reggae band Weedway have released their new single, Itchy. It's the first track from the upcoming 13-track debut album, A Shedsworth, which is out this August. We asked front man Ronan Byrne (of Lir fame) the BIG questions . . .

Tell us three things about yourself . . .

We are Weedway from Donaghmedeway, five-piece reggae/ska style band.

How would you describe your music?

Reggae/ska.

Who are your musical inspirations?

Any decent musicians and writers from any genre including Reggae and Ska.

What was the first gig you ever went to?

The Communards at The National Stadium in Dublin.

What was the first record you ever bought?

Glen Campbell - Rhinestone Cowboy.

What’s your favourite song right now?

I.T.T. - Fela Kuti.

Favourite lyric of all time?

If you could only listen to one song for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Our music is on Bandcamp, Spotify, YouTube and all other digital platforms and we are also performing at least once a month in the Foggy Dew on Dame St in Dublin.
