Pick of the Day
The Silent Civil War, 9.35pm, RTÉ One
Streaming on RTÉ Player
This new two-part series looks fascinating.
It's based on the first-hand testimonies of family members of eighty of those who were involved in the Civil War that took place in Ireland between 1922 and 1923.
The Silent Civil War also unearths a series of previously unheard audio tapes of over thirty of those prominently involved during the revolutionary years in Ireland.
Recorded by a young American researcher, Harlan J. Strauss, as part of his post-graduate work in 1973, the tapes feature original recordings of Frank Aiken, Dan Breen, Peadar O’Donnell, Máire Comerford, John A Costello, Ernest Blythe, Seán Dowling among many others.

Race Across the World, 9.00pm, BBC One
For the sixth leg of the race, the pairs must brush up on their language skills as the next stop is at the heart of French-speaking Canada, the capital of its largest province, Quebec.
To get there, the teams must navigate through Canada's most densely inhabited region. So the problem this week isn’t the terrain, it’s the local population.
For the first time in the race, transport and accommodation choices will be plentiful - but potentially damaging for dwindling budgets.

Waldman tracks down those closest to the designer, including his friends, neighbour, lawyer, doctor, bodyguard and Chanel colleagues.
He also meets the agent and nanny left in charge of Lagerfeld's cat, Choupette, who he called the love of his life and who earned an estimated three million euros from modelling assignments.
CIOTÓG, 9.30pm, TG4
This new documentary goes inside and outside the ring with rising Belfast boxer Seán McComb as he sets out on his pursuit of winning a professional title.
CIOTÓG, translating as Southpaw, follows Seán's journey over a period of three years as he experiences highs and lows inside the ring and some momentous changes in his personal life.
The hour-long film gets behind-the-scenes access to Seán’s gruelling training regime and captures the action before, during and after his fights.
It follows him as he trains in Glasgow with fellow boxers Tyrone McKenna, Tyrone McCullough and Paddy Barnes and joins him as he walks, Pied-Piper like, from his home in West Belfast to be greeted by thousands at his big fight in 2019 in Falls Park at Féile an Phobail.
The documentary also captures Seán’s life during the pandemic, when his professional life was forced to take a back seat but made way for new beginnings in his personal life as he and his fiancée welcomed their first child into their lives.
Seán talks openly in the film about what boxing has meant to him and his family, how he found growing up in West Belfast, his hopes for the future and why he feels it is important that he gives back to his community.
