Bernie - daughter of the late Charlie - is in no mood for niceties when she arrives to scatter her father's ashes in Thursday's Fair City on RTÉ One and the RTÉ Player.
Bernie is stunned that Charlie left his house to his best friend, Bela.
"I respect dad's decision, but he has a grandson, TJ, and a great-granddaughter," she tells Hughie.
"I just don't get why he didn't leave the house to them," Bernie continues.
Hughie has the look of a man who wants to be anywhere else.
"He was really close to TJ, and I thought family would've trumped Bela Doyle, a serial cheater," seethes Bernie.
