Double Oscar winner Hilary Swank and her husband Philip Schneider are celebrating the birth of their "total miracle" twins, a girl and a boy.
In a post on Instagram on Monday, Swank wrote: "It wasn't easy. But boy (and girl!) was it worth it. Happy Easter! Posting from pure Heaven."
Forty-eight-year-old Swank shared her pregnancy joy last October in an interview on Good Morning America.

"This is something that I've been wanting for a long time and my next thing is I'm gonna be a mom," she said. "And not just of one, but of two. I can't believe it."
"It's so nice to be able to talk about it and share it," Swank continued.
Swank later appeared on Live with Kelly and Ryan on US television and told hosts Kelly Ripa and Ryan Seacrest that twins run in both her family and her husband's.
