Following the recent death of legendary songwriter Burt Bacharach, the BBC dedicates over four hours to the much-loved musician . . .

Burt Bacharach: A Tribute from Ronnie Scott's, 9.15pm, BBC Two

Clive Myrie presents a tribute to the composer, producer and pianist Burt Bacharach, widely seen as one of the most important songwriters of the 20th century.

The concert at the London jazz club features arrangements by the venue's artistic director James Pearson of some of Bacharach's best-loved music, including The Look of Love, Alfie, Wives and Lovers, Do You Know the Way to San Jose and That's What Friends Are For.

Then at 10.30pm there's Burt Bacharach at the Electric Proms. Edith Bowman presents as the renowned composer performs with the BBC Concert Orchestra and guest vocalists Adele (below), Beth Rowley and Jamie Cullum at the Roundhouse.

In the past 60 years he has redefined romantic song with hits such as Walk on By, The Look of Love and I Say a Little Prayer.

That's followed at 11.30pm by Burt Bacharach at Glastonbury. The 2015 Pyramid Stage set by the American singer-songwriter and composer, when he performed a selection of songs from his back catalogue of hits.

Bacharach was responsible for more than 50 Top 40 hits in the UK alone, by artists including Dionne Warwick, Gene Pitney, Cilla Black, Dusty Springfield (below) and Tom Jones.

Finally, there's Burt Bacharach: A Life in Song at 12.30am, which offers coverage of a unique concert staged at London's Royal Festival Hall celebrating the music of Burt Bacharach.

Some of his most famous songs are performed by artists including Alfie Boe, Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Shaun Escoffery, Rebecca Ferguson, Justin Hayward, Michael Kiwanuka, Laura Mvula and Joss Stone.

Burt himself also performs, accompanied by Josie James and his band, and chats to Michael Grade about the art of songwriting and shares the stories behind some of his best-loved hits.

The Agatha Christie-esque murder-mystery starring Lesley Manville continues.

Susan's search for the missing last chapter leads her to Abbey Grange, the grand home of Alan Conway, where she discovers that his notes are also missing.

Meanwhile, Atticus Pünd and his faithful assistant Fraser are in Saxby on Avon investigating the murder of Sir Magnus Pye.

Lost: Those Who Kill, 9.00pm, BBC Four

Sequel to Danish crime dramas Darkness: Those Who Kill, and Blinded: Those Who Kill. Starring Natalie Madueño and Simon Sears. In Danish.

When a middle-aged couple are found brutally murdered outside their home, criminal profiler Louise Bergstein and Chief Detective Frederik Havgaard take on the case.

He is convinced he knows who the killer is, but Louise's evidence point to a different person.

Part two follows at 10pm.

New to Stream

The Forgiven, Sky Cinema & NOW

Written and directed by John Michael McDonagh, this drama stars Ralph Fiennes, Jessica Chastain, Matt Smith, and Ismarl Kanater.

Speeding through the Moroccan desert to attend an old friend's lavish weekend party, wealthy Londoners David and Jo Henninger (Fiennes and Chastain) are involved in a tragic accident with a local teenage boy.

Arriving late at the grand villa with the debauched party raging, the couple attempts to cover up the incident with the collusion of the local police.

But when the boy's father arrives seeking justice, the stage is set for a tension-filled culture clash in which David and Jo must come to terms with their fateful act and its shattering consequences.

Afternoon Delight

Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, 2.40pm, BBC Two

This hugely enjoyable Western, starring Paul Newman, Robert Redford and Katharine Ross, is just one of several classic films on TV this afternoon.

Two notorious outlaws' routine of bank and train robberies is cut short when a seemingly unstoppable posse is formed to catch them.

The pair plan to flee America and start a new life in Bolivia, with the Sundance Kid's schoolmistress lover in tow - but staying ahead of the law is not so easy.

Nice link to the Burt Bacharach night later as the song of this film is Raindrops Keep Falling on My Head.

A 20-year-old woman (Kellegher) from a large family announces she is pregnant but refuses to reveal the identity of the father.

Her protective dad (Meaney) is determined to stand by her through thick and thin, but over the next nine months, small-town gossip starts to take its toll on him.

Comedy drama, starring Jack Nicholson, Hope Davis, Kathy Bates, Dermot Mulroney and June Squibb.

A grouchy and aggrieved sixtysomething struggles to cope with enforced retirement and the death of his wife.

Looking for a new direction for his life, he seeks solace in writing letters to a Tanzanian orphan and attempting to stop his daughter's marriage to a man he considers unworthy of her.

Family Flick

Space Jam: A New Legacy, 6.35pm, RTÉ One

Part-animated adventure, starring Don Cheadle and Cedric Joe. And a bunch of Warner Bros cartoon characters.

An artificial intelligence named Al G Rhythm captures famed NBA player LeBron James and his son Dom.

Al G challenges LeBron to a basketball game against his digitised champions the Goon Squad, forcing LeBron to enlist the help of Bugs Bunny and the Looney Tunes to win the game and get his son back.
