New acts added to Kaleidoscope festival

Róisín O, King Kong Company, Cairde, Paper Tides and Bruising Shins have been added to the line-up for Kaleidoscope this June.

Described as "Ireland's leading family-focused music and arts festival", it takes place from 30 June to 2nd July at Russborough House, Blessington, Co Wicklow.

Nile Rodgers & Chic, B*Witched, Gavin James, Fun Lovin’ Criminals, Newton Faulkner and the Dublin Gospel Choir have previously been announced for the weekender.

Organisers have also announced a 25% off flash sale on weekend camping tickets - which include camping, parking, and creative programme activities - until Monday 10 April at 11.59pm.

This year’s Kaleidoscope sees the return of Mark the Science Guy with more science demos, while the team from MTU VEX Robotics will run a robotics workshop, and zoologist Collie Ennis returns to teach youngsters and adults alike about conserving the planet.

Other attractions include The Big Dig, as the School of Irish Archaeology bring their replica 'Viking House’ and excavation site to Kaleidoscope, Anna Devine of the Dublin Gospel Choir will host a Movie-Sing-Along, and there will be an improv workshop hosted by the Gaiety School of Acting.
