Don’t Miss

The Power, Prime Video

Toni Collette heads the cast of this science fiction drama based on Naomi Alderman's 2016 novel of the same name.

It’s got a great premise.

Suddenly, and without warning, all teenage girls in the world develop the power to electrocute people at will. It's hereditary, it's inbuilt, and it can't be taken away from them.

Coming alive to the thrill of pure power: the ability to hurt or even kill by releasing electrical jolts from their fingertips, they rapidly learn they can awaken the Power in older women.

Soon enough nearly every woman in the world can do it. And then everything is different.

SSE Airtricity League Live, 7.35pm, RTÉ2

Streaming on RTÉ Player

Peter Collins presents action from the Premier Division encounter at Tolka Park as Shelbourne host Derry City (KO 7.45pm).

The Candystripes were runners-up to Shamrock Rovers last season and claimed two 1-0 wins at Shelbourne along the way. They currently lie in second place and are unbeaten in their opening six games of the 2023 campaign.

The sides last met in November’s FAI Cup Final, when Damien Duff's Reds suffered a 4-0 hammering. Shels look a lot tougher to beat this term though.

Great British Menu: Banquet Special, 9.00pm, BBC Two

There’s the odd show that I largely ignore but might watch the final. Maybe you do likewise?

Brighton Royal Pavilion is the setting for the GBM final banquet, where the overall winner will be decided.

Judges Tom Kerridge, Nisha Katona and Ed Gamble have chosen four contestants whose menus have celebrated the theme of animation and illustration in honour of Paddington's 65th Birthday.

There will also be the highest runner-up on hand to help with the mini courses, but who will really impress the guests, which include Cressida Cowell and Lenny Henry?
