GAA coach Davy Fitzgerald returns to train and mentor another group of people, this time for an ambitious Icelandic trek.

All the participants are hoping to create brighter futures for themselves and Davy must find a way to motivate them and build their mental and physical strength in just three months.

Dylan McGrath's Secret Service, 9.00pm, Virgin Media One

The renowned chef Dylan McGrath acts as mentor to five chefs-in-the-making, who train with him in his restaurant Fade Street Social over a four-week period.

They range from someone with Down’s Syndrome, a convict, a settled Traveller, a refugee from Cameroon, and someone with Asperger’s Syndrome.

Dylan’s task is to prepare them to produce a fine dining event to raise funds for the charities that support them.

The Repair Shop, 8.00pm, BBC One

This week the team restore a military bugle for veteran Billy. The instrument once belonged to Billy's great-grandfather and has definitely seen better days.

It’s now in use at a blind veteran's rehabilitation centre in Llandudno and he's hoping the barn's musical-maestro Pete Woods can bring it back to its former glory.

Also, Mark Stuckey is faced with the task of repairing a portable radio that once filled hairdresser Karl's grandfather's salons with musical memories.

Charlotte brings in a replica model of iconic Westminster clock Big Ben made almost entirely from matchsticks.

The model, measuring just over 5ft, passed through generations after being built in 1953 to commemorate Queen Elizabeth's coronation.

Food Matters, 8.30pm, RTÉ2

Michael Kelly explores Ireland's food sustainability, travelling around the country to meet farmers, food producers, climate experts and chefs.

He begins by heading to West Cork to visit Dr Steve Collins, a pioneer of regenerative agriculture, who is farming on the side of a mountain and managing to grow superfood in bad soil.

Marie Antoinette, 9.35pm, RTÉ2

Historical drama, starring Emilia Schüle, which was recently broadcast on the BBC.

Barely 14 when she is forced to leave Vienna to marry the the Dauphin of France, Marie Antoinette must produce a Bourbon heir to secure the alliance between France and Austria.

But she is as unprepared for her job as her awkward teenage husband.

Vanishing Act, 10.35pm, RTÉ2

Kate Atkinson stars in this Australia drama from the Underbelly umbrella.

The previous shows were very watchable, so here’s to more of the same.

This one tells the story of Melissa Caddick, the designer-brand-wearing high-roller who disappeared seemingly into thin air after embezzling over $40million from her family, friends and clients.

New to Stream

The Big Door Prize, Apple TV+

Based on MO Walsh’s novel of the same name, this sci-fi comedy tells the story of a small town that is changed when a mysterious machine appears in the general store.

It stars Chris O’Dowd and Gabrielle Dennis as two of the residents of Deerfield during the strangest of times.

The machine promises to reveal each person’s true life potential in exchange for a dollar, sparking a wave of self-reflection and unimagined changes in the tight-knit community.

Kindred, Disney+

Adapted from the novel Kindred by Octavia E Butler, this series centres on Dana James (played by Mallori Johnson), a young Black woman and aspiring writer.

She has uprooted her life of familial obligation and relocated to Los Angeles, ready to claim a future that, for once, feels all her own.

But, before she can settle into her new home, she finds herself being violently pulled back and forth in time.

She emerges at a 19th-century plantation, a place remarkably and intimately linked with Dana and her family.

An interracial romance threads through Dana’s past and present, and the clock is ticking as she struggles to confront secrets she never knew ran through her blood, in this genre-breaking exploration of the ties that bind.

Unseen, Netflix

Here’s a gritty South African crime series, starring Gail Mabalane, who played the lead role of Thandeka Khumalo (Puleng’s mother) in Blood and Water.

This thriller follows a seemingly unremarkable cleaning lady named Zenzi Mwale (Mabalane) who finds herself thrust into the seedy, underground world of a dangerous crime syndicate while searching for her husband.

During her search, Zenzi accidentally murders an important member of the crime syndicate and must continue killing to stay ahead of the gangsters now hot on her trail.

The western revenge drama completes its first season with another double episode.

To celebrate Sarah’s return, John decides it’s time for a big celebration, a masquerade. The gate of New Babylon opens to every stranger for a memorable night.
