Irish rapper Daly (Aaron Daly) has released his new single, Love Me Now. We asked him the BIG questions . . .
The track is the first single from his upcoming EP which will be released later this spring.
Daly has been active in the Irish music scene for the past eight years and is the co-founder of The Secret Sessions
Speaking about Love Me Now, he says, "The inspiration behind Love Me Now came from a real-life situation. Writing is a way of healing for me and going through a breakup myself, this song was the result of the final goodbye."
"The message I want fans to be able to take from the song is that sometimes when relationships end it's easy to fall into the blame game trap. But instead, you must be mature enough to accept you can make mistakes and it’s ok to love someone but must say goodbye without letting it destroy your mental health."
Tell us three things about yourself . . .
My name is Aaron Daly. I am a 25-year-old conscious Hip Hop artist from the northside of Dublin. I used to play ice hockey for the Irish national team. I am a cocktail bartender and bar manager. I probably have more written songs than any other Hip Hop artist in the country.
How would you describe your music?
I consider myself a chameleon within the genre of Hip Hop. I try to always remain conscious because truth within words is what the youth needs rather than the 'gangsters, money, fast life’ mentality. My music can speak to all backgrounds and all ages, especially this new EP. With hints of blues, neo soul, old school hip hop, R&B and more there is something for everyone. My music is for the head boppers and the lyric listeners at the same time,

Kendrick Lamar, J. Cole, Mac Miller, Damien Rice, Daniel Ceaser, Cordae.
What was the first gig you ever went to?
Eminem at Slane Castle was the first major sized gig I’ve been to.
What was the first record you ever bought?
The Marshall Mathers LP - Eminem.
What’s your favourite song right now?
Right now I am vibing between Let.go.my.hand by J. Cole and Two Tens by Anderson.Paak & Cordae.
Favourite lyric of all time?
