It seems a long time since Stephen Kenny’s Green and White Army last graced Lansdowne Road, but ahead of Monday’s clash with France, there’s this friendly against Latvia (KO 7.45pm).

The hosts will be looking for a morale boosting result ahead of their opening Euro 2024 qualifier at home against the World Cup runners-up.

The sides last met in 2013, when the Republic claimed a dominant 3-0 win thanks to goals by Robbie Keane, Aiden McGeady and Shane Long.

A lot of eyes will be on Evan Ferguson, the young Irish striker who’s done really well since he moved from Bohs to Brighton. Now, if only Head Coach Kenny (above) could unearth a decent number 10.

As the Roisin Gallagher-starring dramedy continues with another double episode, Shiv's sobriety is tested more than ever, and tension grows within the family.

Then in the later episode at 10.10pm, Shiv prepares to return to London, which would mean she would miss Caroline's party.

Saving Lives in Leeds, 9.00pm, BBC Two

This week, Leeds General Infirmary plastic surgeon Chris West's patients today include 67-year-old Trevor, who needs surgery to remove small bits of tumour left behind from a previous operation.

But Trevor suffers from anxiety and the stress of waiting is making his condition worse, so before long he tries to leave.

Meanwhile, neurosurgeon Kenan Deniz operates on a tumour growing deep behind a patient's ear, which if not removed could paralyse her face.

New or Returning Shows

Race Across the World, 9.00pm, BBC One

Five teams race 16,000 kilometres across the breadth of Canada starting from Vancouver on the Pacific coastline and passing through seven checkpoints.

The ultimate target is reaching St Johns on the island of Newfoundland, the most easterly town in North America.

Their skill, ingenuity and determination are put to the test as they embark on their journey without access to smartphones, the internet or credit cards.

Armed with only the cash equivalent of the airfare to fly their route, the teams travel at ground level through some of the most remote regions in the world.

The Cockfields, 10.00pm, BBC Two

Originally shown on Dave, this comedy has a fine cast that includes Joe Wilkinson, Diane Morgan, Sue Johnston, Nigel Havers and the late Bobby Ball.

Simon is persuaded to mark the occasion of his 40th birthday back at the Cockfield family home, so takes his girlfriend Donna along to the Isle of Wight.

The duo soon find themselves spending a long weekend as guests of his ever-doting mother Sue and controlling stepfather Ray, together with their menagerie of relatives and friends.

The Flash, 8.00pm, Sky Max

After defeating the Reverse Flash once and for all, the ninth season of this DC Comics series picks up one week later following their epic battle.

Barry creates a map book to guide him and Iris throughout their future in order to keep her safe, but the results are not what he expected, and instead, they relive the same day over and over again.

Meanwhile, Joe has a heart-to-heart with Cecile and a new big bad is introduced to Team Flash and friends and foes, old and new, begin to descend upon Central City.

Marú inár Measc, 9.30pm, TG4

Season three of this series opens with the murder of schoolboy Toyosi Shittabey (below).

In early April 2010, 15-year-old footballer Toyosi Shittabey was stabbed to death as he walked home with friends in Tyrellstown, Dublin.

The death of Nigerian-born Toyosi is among the first racist murders to go to trial in Ireland and his death sparked widespread outcry relating to racism in Ireland.

New to Stream

Waco: American Apocalypse, Netflix

This immersive three-part documentary series is the definitive account of what happened in Waco, Texas in 1993 when cult leader David Koresh faced off against the federal government in a bloody 51-day siege.

Released to coincide with the 30th anniversary of this bizarre tragedy, the series is directed by acclaimed filmmaker Tiller Russell (Night Stalker) and features exclusive access to recently unearthed videotapes filmed inside the FBI Crisis Negotiation Unit.

It also features raw news footage never released to the American public, as well as other FBI recordings.

The Thief Collector, Prime Video

In 1985, Willem de Kooning's Woman-Ochre, one of the most valuable paintings of the 20th century, was cut from its frame at the University of Arizona Museum of Art.

32 years later, the painting was found hanging in a New Mexico home after the deaths of the couple who lived there, Jerry and Rita Alter.

That discovery begged a question: was there more to the seemingly ordinary music teacher and speech therapist?

The Jamie Dornan-starring drama comes to a conclusion.

As the net closes in on the Man and Helen, they are forced to take a huge risk to buy themselves time.

Luci's arrival leads to a reckoning for Kostas, and Lachlan struggles to regain control of a situation spiralling dangerously out of hand.
