Reception, the Dublin-based series of concerts focusing on experimental music, will stage its first Reception Weekend at the end of the month.
Organisers say the line-up for the mini-festival at Dublin's Complex Theatre on Friday 31 March and Saturday 1 April will "range from minimal electronics to ecstatic free improvisation and audio-visual works".
Among the acts confirmed to appear are Ireland's Sharon Phelan, Rob Casey and Cora Venus Lunny, UK-based free jazz favourite Pat Thomas, Scottish composer Phil Maguire, Berlin-based guitarist-composer Julia Reidy and Australian cellist Judith Hamann.
As part of the weekend, a world premiere commission will see multidisciplinary artist Mark Fell and virtuoso percussionist Mohammad Reza Mortazavi combining electronics and Persian percussion for the Reception audience.
Individual tickets range from €18 to €26, with weekender tickets €50.
