A dramatically transformed Colin Farrell has reprised his role as The Penguin for the Batman spin-off series of the same name, with the Irish star filming this week in New York.
Wearing elaborate prosthetics and in costume, the Dubliner was photographed on the set of the HBO Max limited series on Monday.
The series will pick up the story where last year's box office hit The Batman left off on the big screen.

When the series received the green light from the streaming service last March, Farrell said he "couldn't be more excited" to reprise his acclaimed role as Oswald 'Oz' Cobblepot aka The Penguin.
Farrell also serves as one of the executive producers on the new series alongside The Batman director Matt Reeves.
"The world that Matt Reeves created for The Batman is one that warrants a deeper gaze through the eyes of Oswald Cobblepot," Farrell said in a statement last March.

"I couldn't be more excited about continuing this exploration of Oz as he rises through the darkened ranks to become The Penguin.
"[It] Will be good to get him back on the streets of Gotham for a little madness and a little mayhem."
The Batman writer-director Reeves said: "Colin exploded off the screen as The Penguin in The Batman, and having the chance to thoroughly explore the inner life of that character on HBO Max is an absolute thrill."
The Banshees of Inisherin star Farrell is among the Irish Oscar nominees at this Sunday's Academy Awards in Los Angeles.
He is shortlisted in the Best Actor category for his performance in the Martin McDonagh film, joining another Irish star, Aftersun's Paul Mescal, among the Best Actor nominees.
