Book your spot on the couch folks, we finally have a date for the second season of KIN, and we don't have to wait much longer - it will be back on our screens on 19 March.

The first season ended with the Kinsellas at the top of the crime game in Dublin. However, they soon discover that killing Eamon Cunningham has created as many problems as it solved...

Birdy (Maria Doyle Kennedy) and Michael Kinsella (Charlie Cox)

It would seem they have incurred the wrath of an enemy even more dangerous than Eamon, and where once there were unbreakable bonds of blood and family, now there is only suspicion, distrust, and resentment.

In the first episode of season two, we meet the Kinsellas in the wake of Eamon's death, and the family is thriving. However, a new threat rears its head when members of a Turkish cartel inform the Kinsellas that Eamon owed them sizable debt – and since the Kinsellas killed Eamon, the debt is now theirs.

Nuray Batuk (Öykü Karayel) and cousin Hazma (Kenan Ece) touchdown in Dublin

Also, Viking is released from prison intent on making trouble, and a looming presence from inside the family returns.

Kin is produced by BRON Studios and Headline Pictures, in association with RTÉ, with support by Screen Ireland.

Clare Dunne returns as Amanda

Season one of KIN will be available to stream again from 12 March on RTÉ Player.

Season two begins on 12 March at 9:30pm on RTÉ One and RTÉ Player.
