Breakout! Foo Fighters become pinball wizards

Foo Fighters have launched a new pinball machine featuring 15 of their songs as part of a line of new rock and roll pinball machines.

The band, led by former Nirvana drummer Dave Grohl, have teamed up with Stern Pinball for the new game, Business Wire has reported.

Foo Fighters, who have released 10 studio albums and sold over 32 million records, and Stern's machines includes tracks such as All My Life, Best of You, Breakout, Everlong, I’ll Stick Around, Learn to Fly, Monkey Wrench, My Hero, Run, This is a Call, Times Like These, and Walk.

More than two years in the making and with creative input from band members Grohl, Nate Mendel, Pat Smear, Chris Shiflett, Rami Jaffee, and the late Taylor Hawkins, the new game features hand-drawn artwork and custom animations including Foo Fighters Saturday Morning Action Time!, "a fictional TV series chronicling the band’s quest to save rock and roll… AND THE WORLD!"

According to Stern, players are invited to "join Foo Fighters on this rescue mission to thwart the evil, mysterious alien Overlord and his army of bots. Search the Area 51 upper playfield to break into and unleash pinball chaos. Jump in the van for a righteous tour of duty to save humanity from extinction and let rock rule."

The new machine, which debuted at SXSW in Austin, Texas, are limited to 1,000 machines globally, are priced from $6,999 for the Premium Edition to $12,999 for the Limited Edition.

Recent Stern Pinball titles include James Bond, The Mandalorian, Led Zeppelin, Avengers: Infinity Quest, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Stranger Things, The Beatles, and Game of Thrones.
