Shane Byrne's Dancing With The Stars run ended on Sunday night after he was eliminated following a dance-off with Panti Bliss.
Shane and his pro-dance partner Karen Byrne are the fifth celebrity couple to leave the show after the latest episode saw the couples take part in Orchestra Week, with the RTÉ Concert Orchestra live in the studio with vocalists, Susan McFadden, and Aston Jones.
On Monday they talked about their time on the show in an interview on the Today show on RTÉ One.
Once the results were announced on Sunday, Shane and Karen along with Panti and Denys Samson found themselves with the lowest combined scores so each couple got a second chance to save their place in the competition.
Afterwards, the judges decided that it was time for Shane and Karen to leave the competition.

On his departure from the competition, the former Irish rugby International said: "It's been fantastic. Life is all about experiences and this was one hell of an experience."
Damien McGinty, Brooke Scullion, Kevin McGahern, Carl Mullan and Suzanne Jackson move forward to next week's quarter-final alongside Panti.
Carl and Emily scored 23 for their Gangnam-style salsa with the RTÉ Concert Orchestra - you have to see to believe it!
The story of the night:
Comedian and actor Kevin McGahern and Laura Nolan were the first couple to take to the floor. They danced a beautiful and elegant Foxtrot to Elton John's Rocket Man.
Judge Loraine said: "How magnificent it is to have the RTÉ Concert Orchestra to open the show tonight. Foxtrot is the Rolls Royce of dance. The footwork was excellent."
Brian added: "It was a very good foxtrot; I was jealous of you dancing with the RTÉ Concert Orchestra. The thing I love about foxtrot is sentiment and I think you both captured that sentiment - well done."
Arthur said: "You have blossomed into this beautiful gentle dancer. and you delivered week after week for me. The way you swayed across the dance floor was magical."
Kevin and Laura scored 24 from the judges.
The second couple to dance were entrepreneur Suzanne Jackson and Michael Danilczuk. Despite dealing with an injury during the week, Suzanne put her dancing shoes on for a Charleston with the RTÉ Concert Orchestra as they performed Hot Honey Ray from the Chicago OST.
Loraine said: "The swivels were absolutely fantastic. I think this was a remarkable performance."
Arthur: "What injury? What an energy! That was très magnifique I loved it!"
Brian: "Injured ribs - shimbs! It's not what you do, it's the way you do it. You really nailed that down. It's so phenomenal to see a Charleston danced like that. You won't see swivels better than that, anywhere!"
Suzanne and Michael scored 29 from the judges.
Next up was former Irish rugby International Shane Byrne and Karen Byrne as they performed an American Smooth to Luck Be a Lady Tonight by Frank Sinatra. This was the first time Karen had the opportunity to dance with the RTÉ Concert Orchestra in the six seasons of the show.
Loraine: "I'm very, very impressed with your lifts tonight. Not one, not two, but three! I do ask for articulation in the feet - we need a little more umph across the floor."
Brian: "You have made an excellent transition from a rugby player to a dancer. I don't think this was your best week. Come back next week, give us that fun and throw us another mullet dance!"
Arthur: "I do not agree with Brian I think this really suited you. Your partnership is so amazing, it feels like you have been dancing for years."
Shane and Karen scored 22 from the judges.
After topping the leaderboard last week, singer and actor Damian McGinty showed another side to himself on Sunday as he and his partner Kylee Vincent danced a passionate Paso Doble to Sweet Child O’ Mine by Guns N’ Roses.
Loraine: "Power, poise and position is really important for the Paso and that's what I saw here. Tonight, you brought out a dynamic energy we haven't seen from you before. This was really a fabulous performance - well done."
Brian: "From goofy last week to glorious this week, I have to say. You had all of the characteristics; you absolutely nailed it tonight. You started the Paso on the throne tonight, you should have finished it there too - well done."
Arthur: "You gave me goosebumps. The intensity that was going through your body. That was outstanding."
Damian and Kylee scored 28 from the judges.
This week Brooke Scullion and her partner Robert Rowiński took off their dancing shoes and danced an emotional Contemporary Ballroom to Kate Bush’s iconic track Running Up That Hill.
Brook and Robert received 10s all-round from the judges - the first couple to do so this season.
Loraine: "You were working with each other! A tremendous use of space as all spaces were used tonight - it was breathtaking."
Brian: "I said last week there was something missing, I think tonight for the first time, I finally got that moment. It was phenomenal, you went from here (pointed low) to here (pointed high)."
Arthur: "You are not running up the hill, you're on top of it! You were phenomenal, it was simply flawless."
Brooke and Robert scored 30 from the judges.
After going straight through to Orchestra Week due to being awarded immunity in last week's show, Panti Bliss and Denys Samson lit up the dancefloor to a contemporary and fun Tango to Abba’s classic Gimme Gimme Gimme.
Loraine: "Tango on paper is the easiest dance to do. That's what I saw tonight. What impressed me the most, is your position. Your left arm and left hand were in perfect position."
Arthur: "Only you can do tango to Abba! You're officially back in the game baby! You have learned so much from this in the last eight weeks, it's your time to shine! It was a memorable performance."
Brian: "It was very difficult to concentrate. You have been spending too much time in Panti Bar! I wanted more Tango as the bit I saw was really good."
Panti and Denys scored 25 from the judges.
The final couple to dance was 2FM Breakfast presenter Carl Mullan and his dance partner Emily Barker who closed the show in style as they danced a fun-filled Salsa with lots of colour. It was a first for the RTÉ Concert Orchestra too, as they performed Gangnam Style for the first time ever!
Loraine: "It will come as no surprise that this is not my favourite song! However, after listening to RTÉ Concert Orchestra - I'm a changed woman! I thought the lift in the middle was sensational, well done."
Arthur: "The lifts were incredible, you made it look so effortless and so easy. This number is going to go down in this series as the most fun number I've ever seen on Dancing with the Stars!"
Brian: "This routine sort of makes me redundant in so many ways! At the end of the day, everybody here loved it and everybody at home probably loved it too."
Carl and Emily scored 23 from the judges.
