Irish stars Colin Farrell, Jessie Buckley and Fiona Shaw have received nominations for the Critics Choice Super Awards, which honour superhero, sci-fi/fantasy, horror and action movies and TV series.
Farrell has been nominated in two categories, Best Actor in a Superhero Movie for The Batman and Best Actor in a Science Fiction/Fantasy Movie for After Yang. Buckey has been nominated for Best Actress in a Horror Movie for Men. Shaw gets a nod for Best Actress in a Science Fiction/Fantasy Series, Limited Series or Made-For-TV Movie for Andor.
The Batman leads the nominations with six, including Best Superhero Movie. It is up against Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, DC League of Super-Pets, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness and Thor: Love and Thunder.
Farrell's fellow Batman castmates Robert Pattinson and Paul Dano are also up for Best Actor in a Superhero Movie. Benedict Cumberbatch (Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness) and Tenoch Huerta (Black Panther: Wakanda Forever) complete the line-up in that category.
Buckley faces competition from Aisha Dee (Sissy), Anna Diop (Nanny), Mia Goth (Pearl) and Rebecca Hall (Resurrection).
Shaw is in good company in her category with Milly Alcock (House of the Dragon), Patricia Arquette (Severance), Morfydd Clark (The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power), Moses Ingram (Obi-Wan Kenobi) and Sissy Spacek (Night Sky) all vying for the honour.
Winners will be announced on 16 March.
