The 1975 to play headline shows in Cork and Dublin this summer

1975, who have been crowned Best Group a the BRIT Awards twice, and won Best Rock/Alternative Act at this year's ceremony, have confirmed they will play two outdoor gigs in Ireland this summer.

The Manchester rockers will take to the stage in Dublin's St. Anne's Park on 7 June and Cork's Musgrave Park on 13 June.

Their fifth album Being Funny in a Foreign Language reached number 1 in the Irish charts and just last month, the band completed the Ireland and UK leg of their At Their Very Best tour, including a sold out dates at Dublin’s 3Arena, Belfast’s SSE Arena and two dates at London’s O2 Arena, to wide critical acclaim.

Tickets from €49.90 (including booking fee) go on sale this Friday 24 February at 9am from ticketmaster.ie.
