The American actor Tom Sizemore, best known for his roles in the films Saving Private Ryan and Heat, is in critical condition after suffering a brain aneurysm.

It is reported that the 61-year-old collapsed at his Los Angeles home around 2:00am on Sunday.

In a statement, his manager, Charles Lago, said it was "a wait-and-see situation".

"His family is aware and waiting for updates," said Lago. "There are no future updates at this time."

Sizemore's other credits include the films Black Hawk Down, Pearl Harbor and Natural Born Killers, the 2017 reboot of the iconic series Twin Peaks, and the video game Grand Theft Auto: Vice City.
