The Gold, 9.00pm, BBC One

Hugh Bonneville, Dominic Cooper and Charlotte Spencer star in this crime drama inspired by the true story of the 1983 Brink's-Mat gold robbery.

It tells the story from the point of view of both the police and the criminals.

When £26million worth of gold is stolen from the Brink's-Mat security depot near Heathrow Airport, long-serving DCI Brian Boyce arrives from counterterrorism and sets up a task force to investigate.

Meanwhile, robbery ringleader Micky McAvoy tries to dispose of the bullion.

Live Six Nations Rugby Union, 2.30pm, RTÉ2

All the action from the final match in the second round of fixtures, as England host Italy (KO 3pm) at Twickenham.

England have won all 29 of the previous meetings between the sides, but the Italians did give them a scare here two years ago when they took an early lead thanks to a Monty Ioane try, before the hosts turned things around, scoring six tries in a 41-18 win.

Call the Midwife, 8.00pm, BBC One

More Sunday night comfort telly from the wonderful people in Poplar.

Everyone is looking forward to Trixie and Matthew's wedding and a bonny baby competition brings the community together.

It's not all good news, though, as the team learn about a pregnant woman and her family living in a cramped caravan, while a worrying disease outbreak directly impacts the residents of Nonnatus House.

Guy Martin's Great British Power Trip, 9.00pm, Channel 4

As an energy crisis and cost of living crisis collide, the Lincolnshire lorry mechanic and motorcycle racer investigates the past, present and future of British power stations to work out how the UK makes its most valuable commodity of all - electricity.

This first episode begins with Guy testing every piece of equipment in his workshop to find out which items use the most electricity.

Horrified by what he's now having to pay for power, he tries to work out the reasons behind his big bills, and visits his local power station at Drax - which also happens to be the UK’s biggest.

Strippers, Spies and Russian Money: Dispatches, 10.00pm, Channel 4

The extraordinary story of Russia's covert attempts to corrupt British politics, influence government policy and undermine British democracy in the years before the invasion of Ukraine.

Over the past 12 years, donors with links to Russia have poured millions into the coffers of the ruling Conservative Party.

Dispatches reveals how senior politicians ignored the warnings about President Putin to the detriment of the UK’s national security, how political activists were encouraged to visit a Moscow strip club, and hears allegations concerning a Russian 'diplomat' seeking information from a government minister over a pint in a pub.

After being threatened by a ruthless power broker (Travolta), it appears Ryan and his team are out of options - until a visit to the island community of Paradise City unites them with an unforeseen ally.

The reviews of this film are so damning, it’s got to be worth a look.

Here’s a tense and enjoyably daft thriller, starring Nicole Kidman, Colin Firth and Mark Strong.

A woman who cannot retain her memories following a traumatic accident is contacted by a mysterious neuropsychologist, who offers to help her recover the truth about her condition.

As she tries to piece together the events of her past, she begins to fear neither her husband nor the doctor are who they seem to be.

Family Flick

Chicken Run, 2.00pm, BBC One

Nick Park's animated comedy, with the voices of Mel Gibson, Julia Sawalha, Miranda Richardson and Jane Horrocks, is great fun for all ages.

A headstrong chicken and her fellow fowls ponder how to escape from a grim Yorkshire farm before the evil farmer's wife can turn them into pies.

Luckily, help arrives in the form of a heroic American rooster who promises to show them how to fly.
