The demand for weight loss surgery has boomed in recent years.

Whether it's a gastric sleeve, band or bypass – all are touted on social media as ways to shed the pounds.

Increasingly, British people (and Irish, so this is relevant to an Irish audience) are choosing to travel abroad, to places like Turkey, for the surgery.

BBC Three investigates why that’s the case and how safe it is to undergo such huge operations abroad.

In Manchester, Grayson meets musician Paul Heaton of the Beautiful South, whose home boasts an eccentric collection of objects celebrating the north and discusses why northern pride continues to be very real.

In Cumbria, at the estate of Hutton-in-the-Forest, Grayson meets Lord Inglewood, who believes that the northern spirit transcends class.

Continued analysis of the case of Siôn Jenkins who, in 1997, was convicted of murdering his foster-daughter, Billie-Jo.
