All-Ireland winner Paul Brogan and his professional dance partner Salome Chachua have become the third couple to be voted off Dancing with the Stars on RTÉ One and the RTÉ Player.
The Dublin footballer and his dance partner had performed the Tango to Bruno Mars' Locked out of Heaven on Sunday night's show, scoring 16 points from the judges.

When the judges' scores and viewers' votes were combined, their fate was sealed.
After the result was announced, the gracious Paul saluted Salome's hard work as a teacher and dance partner.

"She didn't have much to work with when I first started," he said. "I've come a long way. I appreciate it. Thanks very much."
"Thank you so much," Salome said to Paul. "Amazing - great time we had. And thank you to everyone."

The highest score of the night, 27, went to Panti Bliss and her professional dance partner Denys Samson for their Charleston.
The remaining eight couples will return to the floor next week for Dedicated Dance Week.

The story of the night:
Kevin McGahern and Laura Nolan
The first couple of the night were comedian Kevin McGahern and his professional dance partner Laura Nolan, dancing the Cha-Cha-Cha to Jamiroquai's Canned Heat.
Head judge Loraine Barry said the couple "truly brought in the real Cha-Cha-Cha" to the disco theme. She said it needed more staccato but was a "groovy start".

Fellow judge Arthur Gourounlian hailed Kevin's footwork and praised him for carrying on when he got "a bit lost".
Brian Redmond said he was "really happy" that Kevin took on the advice and "brought more performance" this week. He agreed with Loraine that it was "a little bit choppy in places". Kevin and Laura scored 20 points from the judges.

Arthur Gourounlian said it was "stripped back, cool, romantic". He said Carl was "shining tonight".

Brian Redmond said Carl's shoulder line was "immaculate", but there was some "dodgy footwork on the fleckle". Overall, Brian said it was "a very nice Viennese Waltz".
Loraine Barry said she loved Carl's "seriousness". She said Carl had "that lovely movement around the floor", but the routine didn't need the "breaking up" of the couple in places. Carl and Emily scored 22 points from the judges.

Stephanie Roche and Ervinas Merfeldas
The third couple of the night were Shamrock Rovers and Ireland forward Stephanie Roche and her professional dance partner Ervinas Merfeldas, dancing the Paso Doble to John Gibbons X LYRA's Edge of Seventeen.

Loraine Barry saluted Stephanie's dedication and the opening of the routine.
Arthur Gourounlian said the opening found Stephanie "in the zone". He said he wanted to see "stillness, control and danger", but they weren't there all the time. Stephanie and Ervinas scored 14 points from the judges.

Brian Redmond said eight lifts in the Tango was "pushing it". He said he wants Paul to use his improved posture to "lead Salome more".

Loraine Barry said Brooke "absolutely did a great job" of a "so demanding" dance. She agreed the feet could be a "little bit more tidy" but added that Brooke's work ethic is "sublime".
Arthur Gourounlian said he would give Brooke douze points if it was the Eurovision. "We all know Samba is the celebrity killer," he concluded, "but Samba never met Brooke Scullion." Brooke and Robert scored 26 points from the judges.
