Bristol-based heavy-pop group Bitter Kisses on the released their debut single, Pr*y. we asked them the BIG questions . . .
Reflecting on the inspiration behind the single, the band say, "Pr*y was partially inspired by a fever dream in which Lady Gaga collaborated with Queens of the Stone Age to produce a new Earth Wind And Fire song."
Alongside the single comes the track's music video, inspired by David Lynch-style psychedelic and surrealist films. The entire set and props included were created by the band themselves in true DIY fashion.
Tell us three things about yourself . . .
Between us we have two cats and a dog. Their names are Harper, Topsy and Flo. None of us are sporting our natural hair colour. Scarl (our drummer) hasn't removed her Download Festival wristband since 2021. She has no plans to remove it for the foreseeable future, despite our repeated pleas.
How would you describe your music?
We like to describe our sound as 'pop music you can beat your friends up to’. It’s a synth-infused blend of heavy pop and goth rock.
