Gossip Girl's Blake Lively is to star opposite Justin Baldoni (Jane the Virgin) in the big-screen adaptation of Colleen Hoover's romantic bestseller It Ends with Us, which Baldoni will also direct.
Billed as "a heart-wrenching story and an unforgettable tale of love that comes at the ultimate price", It Ends with Us is a relationship triangle involving the characters Lily, Ryle and Atlas.
US entertainment trade publication Deadline, which first reported the casting news, says Lively, Baldoni and Hoover will also serve as executive producers on It Ends with Us.
Actor-turned-director Baldoni's other credits include the films Clouds and Five Feet Apart.
Hoover published her sequel to It Ends with Us, It Starts with Us, in late 2022.
