CMAT, Dermot Kennedy and Biig Piig are among the nominees for the RTÉ Choice Music Prize Song of The Year 2022, which is voted for by the public.

A total of ten Irish acts are featured in the shortlist, which was announced on RTÉ 2FM's Tracy Clifford Show on Friday afternoon.

The shortlist is as follows:

Biig Piig- Kerosene

CMAT - Nashville

Cian Ducrot - All For You

Dermot Kennedy - Something To Someone

Fontaines D.C. - I Love You

Lea Heart - Happier

Moncrieff - Warm

SELLÓ - No Love

Welshy - All Day (feat Nonô)

Ye Vagabonds - Blue is the Eye

To vote for the RTÉ Choice Music Prize Irish Song of the Year 2022, visit the 2fm site. Votes are limited to one per person per day. Only votes cast in the Republic of Ireland will be counted.

Voting closes at midnight on Sunday 5 March. The Irish Song of the Year 2022 will be announced by Tracy Clifford on the day of the RTÉ Choice Music Prize live event on 9 March.

The show in Vicar St will feature performances from some of the album-shortlisted acts.

Earlier this week the shortlists for two new Choice prizes - Irish Breakthrough Artist of the Year 2022 and Irish Artist of the Year 2022 - were announced as follows Irish Artist of the Year 2022 - Shortlist

The winning album will be announced on Monday 6 March, while the prize will be presented along with the other prizes at the RTÉ Choice Music Prize live event in Vicar Street.
