The 2023 80th Annual Golden Globe Awards, 9.35pm, RTÉ2

Jerrod Carmichael hosts the US ceremony celebrating the best movies and TV shows, and those who make them, from the Bevely Hilton Coverage of the arrival of stars of the big and small screens at the awards ceremony that recognises.

Martin McDonagh's The Banshees of Inisherin (below) leads the nominations with eight nods, followed by Everything Everywhere All at Once, with six.

Naturally, the big thing from an Irish perspective is that hat-trick of wins on the night, picking up awards for Best Picture – Musical or Comedy, Best Actor for Colin Farrell (below, with Brendan Gleeson) and Best Screenplay for writer-director Martin McDonagh.

The Light in the Hall, 9.00pm, Channel 4

The drama starring Joanna Scanlan continues. Last week’s opener was a bit sluggish – here's hoping for a bit of pace.

Tensions simmer between Sharon and Gafyn and Sali discovers Greta's secret. Meanwhile, Sharon's constant threats against Joe are starting to take a toll.

Also: Cat and Caryl catch up again but Caryl reveals something that leads Cat to revisit the past.

Ambulance, 9.00pm, BBC One

This documentary series continues to be quite revealing.

A busy night shift for the North East Ambulance Service begins with an emergency call for a woman in labour, while in Stockton, crewmates Hannah and Becky attend a 78-year-old female patient who has fallen down the stairs and suffered a seizure.

This episode also highlights the rising demand for mental health care across the north east of England, as ambulance crews respond to multiple emergency calls for patients battling with their mental health while attempting to navigate over-stretched services and feeling they have nowhere left to turn for help.

Neven's Greenway Food Trails, 8.30pm, RTÉ

This week, Neven Maguire visits the Connemara Greenway in county Galway, beginning by calling in at the Connemara Hamper delicatessen and food store in Clifden to buy a picnic for his journey.

On the route, Neven stops at Ballynahinch Castle Hotel to explore the organic walled gardens and the Ballynahinch River that flows through the estate, attracting fly-fishing enthusiasts from all over the world.

Billion Dollar Downfall: The Dealmaker, 9.00pm, BBC Two

This is the story of the meteoric rise and dizzying fall of businessman Arif Naqvi, currently under house arrest after the collapse of the world's biggest private equity firm Abraaj.

He’s accused of fraud and racketeering and if found guilty could face a lifetime in jail.

Key figures in the story speak out, while personal videos of Naqvi give a glimpse into his life now.

Next Level Chef, 9.00pm, UTV/ITV

Gordon Ramsay, Paul Ainsworth and Nyesha Arrington front this unique culinary challenge which sees a mixture of home cooks and professional chefs competing.

It takes place across a three-storey kitchen, ranging from the gloomy basement, which provides only basic ingredients, to the start-of-the-art top level.

The ultimate winner will walk away with £100,000 and an unrivalled one-year mentorship from Gordon, Nyesha and Paul to help make their culinary dreams a reality.

But who will climb their way to the top?

Misneach, 9.30pm, TG4

A legacy of exclusion and discrimination has had a huge impact on the community, but the numbers are growing and more and more Irish travellers are refusing to be excluded from the opportunities afforded by education.

Filmed one academic year, this documentary tells the story of other one group of Irish Travellers making their way through university life.

The Old Devils, 10.30pm, BBC Four

Here’s a chance to see the excellent 1992 dramatisation of Kingsley Amis's novel, starring John Stride.

The orderly world of regular drinking in South Wales is disturbed by the arrival of TV personality and professional Welshman Alun Weaver and his wife.

In episode two at 11.20pm, Alun Weaver is fast running out of friends, but Rhiannon soon discovers she can still make hearts beat faster among the old drinkers.

New to Stream

Welcome to the Chippendales, Disney+

The origin story of Somen "Steve" Banerjee, the Indian-American entrepreneur who started the stripper troupe Chippendales.

Kumail Nanjiani stars as the single-minded Banerjee in this true-crime drama, which is quite a contrast if you remember him from his days as programmer Dinesh Chugtai on the sitcom Silicon Valley.

Sexify: Season 2, Netflix

With the future of their startup in flux, the three young entrepreneurs must balance tumultuous personal lives, a bitter rival and a demanding investor.
