The Kevin Costner-starring modern western drama returns for a fifth season as John Dutton is sworn in as Governor of Montana.

As John settles into his office, he makes bold moves to protect Yellowstone from his opponents. The bunkhouse and the Duttons enjoy the Governor's ball.

In episode two at 10.45pm, John makes a passionate speech to the state of Montana, and a new formidable opponent from Market Equities arrives in Montana on a private jet.

The cowboys on the Yellowstone deal with a new problem.

Maxine Carr moves to Soham in Cambridgeshire for a fresh start with her boyfriend Ian Huntley.

On a weekend back home to see her mother, she awakens to the news of the disappearance of Soham schoolgirls Holly Wells and Jessica Chapman and returns to provide Ian with an alibi.

Ladhood, 9.00pm, RTÉ2

Streaming on RTÉ Player

The return of the BBC comedy which straddles two timelines, written by and starring Liam Williams.

Liam is on a date for the first time since his all-too-recent break-up with Jess. With a bit of help from an icebreaker app, everything seems to be going well.

But when his date asks Liam about the last time he felt completely happy, he is thrust back into memories of his adolescence.

Glór Tíre, 9.30pm, TG4

Presented by Aoife Ní Thuairisg, Glór Tíre returns with a new venue, new format, but the same great country music content featuring some of the biggest names in the genre and eight new faces competing to be this year's winner.

Mike Denver takes to the brand-new stage and introduces his two contestants for this series. Judges Jó Ní Chéide and Caitríona Ní Shúilleabháin are back, joined by a special guest judge each week - starting with Eddie Rowley.

They have a big decision to make as they must choose between two contestants, keeping one safe and leaving the other to face viewers' votes in the first live elimination programme.

Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin, 11.10pm, BBC One

Here’s a slasher teen drama, created by Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa and Lindsay Calhoon Bring for HBO Max.

It’s the fourth series in the Pretty Little Liars franchise, which is based on the novel series written by Sara Shepard, and set within the same continuity as the previous shows.

The series features an ensemble cast, headed by Bailee Madison, Chandler Kinney, Zaria, Malia Pyles, and Maia Reficco.

Twenty years ago, a series of tragic events almost ripped Millwood apart.

In the present day, a set of teenagers find themselves tormented by an unknown assailant.

Life After Love Island: UNTOLD, 11.05pm, Channel 4

Will Njobvu talks to previous contestants from Love Island about what happens when they leave the show and how their lives change including past winners Paige Turley (below) and Finn Tapp.

Plus there’s some insight from more recent contestants such as Coco Lodge who are still struggling to get their foot in the influencer door while others have been shot straight to stardom.

Industry experts also shed light on life after the limelight.

The Mistress, 8.30pm, BBC Four

Carla Lane comedy from the mid-1980s, starring Felicity Kendal (below) as a woman in a relationship with a married man.

Maxine is the manager of a florist shop and is having an affair with married man Luke Carpenter.

His wife Helen, played by Jane Asher, is totally unaware of the affair.

While Maxine occasionally feels guilty and insecure about the affair, she’s a generally optimistic and happy person.

A History of Britain by Simon Schama, 9.00pm, BBC Four

Historian Simon Schama charts the 4,000 years prior to the 1000AD, from Stone Age Orkney and through four centuries of Roman occupation.

It then winds its way through King Alfred's ultimate victory over the Vikings, which laid the foundations for the Anglo-Saxon kingdom later subjugated by the Norman invaders.

New to Stream

The Hatchet Wielding Hitchhiker, Netflix

Terrific title. Terrible tale.

This shocking documentary chronicles a happy-go-lucky nomad's ascent to viral stardom and the steep downward spiral that resulted in his imprisonment.
