Here’s something that might be of particular interest to those who grew up in the 1970s.
It’s a documentary capturing a concert at Collins Barracks in Dublin that celebrated the music of the rock band Thin Lizzy, fronted back in the day by the much-loved Phil Lynott (below).

The RTÉ Concert Orchestra is supported by various guests including Mundy, Jack O'Rourke, Wallis Bird, Tom Dunne and Shobsy.
The film also features insights from the performers, musicians, and people who were close to Phil Lynott and the rest of the band.

Even if you've zero interest in basketball, this documentary is well worth a look.
For startes, it's from HBO - so it's got to be good.
It features a series of revealing interviews with Shaquille O’Neal, telling the story of a basketball legend unlike any other, whose larger-than-life personality transcended the sport and transformed him into a cultural icon.
The documentary series chronicles Shaq’s ascent to superstardom, as a dominant force who won four NBA championships, league MVP honors, and changed the game.
It also encompasses his life off the court, from his upbringing in a military family to his deepest personal relationships and prosperous broadcasting and business careers.
Dogs in the Wild: Meet the Family, 8.00pm, BBC One
Chris Packham (below) narrates a documentary following the lives of packs of wild dogs across the world.

Featuring astonishing cinematography combined with emotional and immersive storytelling, the programme follows the packs from the rugged peaks of the Himalayas to the blistering Sahara desert, revealing fresh perspectives on their diversity and unusual behaviour.
Jon and Lucy's Party of the Year, 9.00pm, Channel 4
Jon Richardson and Lucy Beaumont eat, drink and get merry on a getaway from the post-Christmas, pre-New Year lull with some of their closest friends.

They include the likes of Romesh Ranganathan (above), Judi Love and Tom Allen.
The gang reflect on the highs and lows of 2022 and get up to some festive mischief in this comedy special.
Paul Muldoon - Laoithe is Liricí, 9.20pm, TG4
Here’s a feature-length documentary about the poet Paul Muldoon.
Key moments in his creative life, which began with him writing poems in Irish, are explored by many of the musicians he has worked with in words specially written by him.

They include the impressive likes of Paul Simon, Liam Neeson, PJ Harvey, Bono, Ruth Negga, Paul Brady, and Iarla Ó Lionáird.
His work from being a young radio producer in Belfast to Professor of Poetry in Princeton University, New Jersey is reflected in the range of friends and acquaintances who participate in the telling of Muldoon's life and his playful and allusive poetry.
