Toy Show the Musical opens its doors at the Convention Centre, Dublin from this Saturday - here's your chance to watch the time-lapse video of the set coming to life.
The brainchild of two Late Late Show producers - Jane Murphy and Katherine Drohan - Toy Show the Musical turns the Toy Show on its head, making the family sofa the focus of attention as a young girl called Nell watches Ryan Tubridy and co with her nearest and dearest.
"This is going to blow people's minds," said Jane Murphy. "I don't think anyone's going to expect what we're going to roll out here. There's a massive surprise for everyone who sees it. It's extraordinary. It is absolutely a world-class production."
"We're not replicating the television show, we're celebrating the tradition of that television show," said director Séimí Campbell, a West End veteran.

"We want people who are coming from Waterford - where I'm from - from Galway, from Cork - to come in and feel they're wrapped up in Christmas," added Katherine Drohan. "And they’re going to go away thinking, 'That was magical!'"
Toy Show the Musical's Tricycle Street has been designed by Colin Richmond, the Ballymoney man behind the sets for The Magician's Elephant (Royal Shakespeare Company), Carmen (Opera North), My Best Friend's Wedding (UK Tour), The Wizard of Oz (Curve, UK Tour), Merlin (Northern Ballet), Wendy and Peter Pan (Tokyo/UK), and Barnum (UK).
Previews begin on Saturday 10 December, and opening night is Wednesday 14 December. As part of Toy Show the Musical's run, there will be several ISL-signed and sensory-friendly performances, with group discounts available for these shows.
