Irish author Melissa Hill joined Reese Witherspoon Zoey Deutch and Kendrick Sampson at the premiere of Something from Tiffany's, a movie adapted from her novel of the same name.

The film is a romantic Christmas comedy which tells the story of a woman who accidentally receives an engagement ring meant for someone else.

It was produced by Reece Witherspoon's Hello Sunshine company for Amazon and stars Zoey Deutch, Ray Nicholson, Kendrick Sampson and Shay Mitchell.

Witherspoon was on the red carpet for the premiere alongside Hill, who said seeing the movie made was a dream come true.

This is not the Irish author's first foray into Christmas movies having previously worked on a number of festive films with Hallmark and other channels in the US.

Speaking to RTÉ last year, Hill, who is one of Ireland's most successful commercial fiction novelists, says working on these movies and being able to escape into Christmas is "balm for the soul", particularly in recent years.

Something from Tiffany's will be released on Prime Video on 9 December.
